Try Something Different
Try Something Different
The Issue
Ok, in response to the overwhelming sentiment on this site that marijuana is harmless and should be free for all to use, I'd like to propose something different. How about some of us pledge NOT to smoke pot. Let's go even further and teach our kids NOT to smoke pot. Smoking marijuana causes health problems (including cancer), it impairs judgement, I've seen it turn friends into unmotivated and lazy people, and I've also seen it open the door to the more deadly drugs.
I usually try to stay focused on more critical topics, but I'm kind of tired of half the conversations on here somehow turning into a "legalize marijuana" platform.
By the way, medicinal use is not included in this pledge.
**P.S. This action is meant for the people who would like to actually take part in the pledge. If you disagree, that's fine, don't sign it. Although I am not afraid to defend my points, I don't want this to turn into another debate. There are plenty of blogs that are meant for those discussions. Thanks for your time and respect**
