Amend the TriMet Charter and Oregon Statutes to reduce the total compensation income gap between the highest and lowest paid TriMet employees to no more than 400%.

The Issue

The large and steadily increasing income gap between TriMet top-level managers and TriMet’s front line workers is toxic. It kills these manager’s compassion and empathy for employees, passengers and the community. It has created a pattern of self-serving behavior in which a handful of executives rely upon public relation "spin" instead of engaging in genuine dialogue and manifesting a committment to transparency.
