To embrace opportunities to educate about the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle!
The Issue
Every day we interact with everyone and everything that surrounds us. This presents us with an infinite pallet of opportunities to educate those that we come in contact with. Now, I'm not saying you should commit to constant batteries of vegetarian preaching at the water cooler to your coworkers here. More of a commitment to talk about the benefits and experiences of practicing vegetarianism occasionally. Mention casually how delicious the Mango-Ginger encrusted Seitan for dinner was last night. Forward the recipe to your in-laws that love to cook (recipe available on MindJunket.com recipe page). Strike up a conversation with that guy on the bus who's always eating skittles about how you love skittles but you have to wait till next month to eat them again. That's when your father in law gets back from his golf trip to England where he always gets you a bunch of vegan skittles and starbursts. Why? Because of Mad Cow Disease, the European versions of skittles and starbursts contain no animal gelatin (made from horse, pig and cow hooves typically). Get the idea? Just letting your friends and coworkers know you are a vegetarian or really enjoy vegetarian meals does makes a bigger difference than you know. Take action, make a change!
