About this Petition Pledge
First of all, what the heck is a tithe?  Tithe is an Old English word meaning "tenth", and "to tithe" is part of a biblical tradition of giving one tenth of your earning in a year to the church.  For those who don't belong to a church, don't tithe to one, or feel like they can tithe a little more, consider giving one tenth of your salary each month to an abolitionist organization in 2009.  Can't afford a tenth of your salary?  How about $10 a month?  Your gift will really add up to help restore victims of human trafficking and prevent people from being trafficked.  If you need some ideas of nonprofits to tithe to, see the recommended nonprofits section of this site.
