'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' is a modern accomplishment that has seen a great influx of popularity in recent years, a trend that continues each and every day. At the time of its initial release, 'Hunchback' performed modestly and was viewed as a disappointment, much like 'Bambi' and 'Alice in Wonderland' at the time of their respective releases. However, both films exploded in popularity years later, when the Walt Disney Company re-released them and made the films known to a new generation of children and adults. In that faith, we ask the Walt Disney Company to re-introduce this modern classic to the public by re-releasing it in theaters nationwide.
