Congress should not be paid until the unemployment rate is below 7%

The Issue

The "do-nothing" Congress is preventing the economy from recovering and causing unecessary suffering. Congress needs to pass bills to keep our teachers, police and first responders on the job, provide money for infrastructure spending, and force banks who received bail-out money to lend to small businesses so that they can grow. By doing this, the unemployment rate should come down. Until this happens they should not be paid. Unless there is a direct consequence to them they will continue to say no in the hopes that they will defeat this Administration and the people who have lost their jobs and their homes are just numbers to them that don't matter. Please sign this petition to let them know that we are not just numbers in their political game.
