The horses are inoccent creatures, and it is unfair to slaughter them. Even if the horse was "uncontrollable" it was probably do to abuse or bad handling. If the reason they are being slaughtered is they are "old and useless" than it would be just as bad to send our "old and useless" grandparents to a slaughter house. The US tries to stop horse abuse, yet we are thinking of slaughtering them?!? For no reason?!! I think that defeats the purpose.
