Dave Hart's numerous missteps in the search for a head football coach have placed the university in a tenuous and embarrassing position.  He declined to pursue Jon Gruden (who, reports indicate, was interested) despite the efforts of key boosters and the overwhelming preference of the UT fan base.  He has offered the position to and was rejected by two FBS coaches, with a third coach preemptively rejecting an offer.  Ultimately, he chose to hire Cincinnati's Butch Jones.  Dave Hart's autocratic methods have irreparably harmed the integrity and reputation of the University of Tennessee, and he should be removed immediately.
