America as a whole is being forced to look at our financial responsibilities. In this new global economy tough choices and budget cuts must be made, this is understood and accepted. That said, If the American people as a whole are expected to accept changes to there way of life in many respects, from the size of the US Military, down to public broadcasting and the USPS, then the cuts need to start where the most out of control spending begins, in the US Legislative branch. Until they make cuts of there own to ask for any other agency to do so would be hypocritical and unethical.
