Stop 20 million dollars in tax money to pay Indonesian college students

The Issue

Hi my name is Steffen Berr and I am on a mission to help bring common sense to our government.

Pass a bill that stops 20 million dollars in US tax money too pay for Indonesian student's college tuition.

The 20 million dollars is part of a larger 165 million dollar deal that the US government will hand over to Indonesia for the next 5 years. This is part of a plan to boost relations with the Indonesian government and help the Asian country accelerate their catchup with the rest of the world.

While this is very commendable and has good intentions, spending 20 million dollars of US taxpayer money to pay for Indonesian college students beyond K-12 is insanity. The United States is over 16 trillion dollars in debt and spends 1.3 trillion more than it takes in this year. How many countries give the United States money to help our college students pay for college? None

Republicans and Democrats are both fighting each other to reduce the deficit, but  both are ignoring outrageous and stupid spending that should be cut before making painful cuts or taxing more.

Every American is at risk from this humongous debt and puts our country in jeopardy. That's why I'm asking the representatives, senators, and president of the US government to pass a bill that pulls the plug on this handout.
