Stand up for women and girls

The Issue

Thirteen-year-old Francine was kidnapped and held as a sex slave for three months in the forests of the Democratic Republic of Congo. When her captors finally released her, she was shattered, body and spirit.

Will you be a voice for Francine and others like her? Take a stand and sign the pledge for women and girls around the world.

Every day, millions of women and girls who confront serious threats to their safety, their health, their livelihoods and their dignity. Yet given a chance, they have the strength to transform their families, their communities and our world.

With steady psychological and medical care from the International Rescue Committee, a leading humanitarian relief and development organization, Francine reintegrated into her community and returned to school.

When you sign the pledge, you spotlight the challenges that women and girls face, the potential they hold, and the simple solutions that help them survive and thrive.
