Knowing the source of our food and the chemicals they have been in contact with is a basic human right.  The secret use of pesticides and other agricultural chemicals since 2008 is a downright deplorable act against the people of the United States.  If nothing else, we must force the USDA to resume publishing this information publicly for we know not the true nature of the foods we are all consuming.

Resume updating its pesticide use and international distribution database as an issue of democratic transparency.

Why this is important:

In 2008, the USDA stopped reporting domestic pesticide usage statistics as well as information related to its international distribution and application.  This curtain has blindfolded the public from knowing the truth about our relationship and inadvertent consumption of this chemical in the foods we eat every day.   

Alternative data on the dangers of Glyphosate, one chemical known to most as RoundUp, is widely available. Lawsuits have come and gone, and moving forward from them the USDA has decided to hide the facts, rather than address them head on, by suspending the publishing of their pesticides use and distribution database. Confrontations with agro-chemical companies (most notoriously Monsanto) have mainly sprung up in Europe where a movement for non-GMO food has taken greatest root. Why has our government chosen to not share with us both domestic and international use of a chemical we are exposed to on a nearly daily basis?  The USDA must resume publishing of these figures IMMEDIATELY!

Join us and demand the USDA begin reporting to the people of the United States and the world about the controversial usage of Glyphosate and other chemicals sprayed on our foods.  Demand transparency and democracy in the actions of our government on an international stage!
