Please help to stop the torture that takes place every year in the circus! Each year thousands of animals are taken over great distances just so they can perform at a show. They are not cared for and don't get the medical attention they need.  In 2004, a lion traveling with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus died of dehydration in the Mojave Desert. The cruelty has to stop!. This circus has also been cited for animal neglect and cruelty by the Department of Agriculture numerous times. Many of their animals are taken from the forest in Asia, greatly damaging the environment by upsetting the balance of life.  Sign this petition agreeing to boycott the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus until they stop ALL animal exploitation. Every signature makes a difference for the animals!

Shocking evidence has recently been brought to my attention concerning the treatment of animals at Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. Ringling Brothers has repeatedly been cited by the U.S Department of Agriculture for violations of the Animal Welfare Act. Some of these offenses include causing physical harm to elephants and failure to provide adequate vetinary care. These offenses are not acceptable and Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus needs to stop the cruel exploitation of animals for entertainment purposes immediately. These animals belong in the wild, not in small pens waiting to perform human tricks on stage. Until ALL animal acts in the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus are permanently banned, I will not attend the circus and encourage all my family and friends to do the same. Please consider changing the policy on animals at your circus for the benefits of thousands of animals. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
