In Oklahoma, animals in shelters that are not adopted or claimed after fifteen days must be turned over to research institutions in the amount that the institution asks for. Not only are these animals deprived of a loving home, they are also subjected to painful experiments and are then killed. Animals are precious beings, and should not be used for our own selfish means. Please tell the State of Oklahoma to repeal this law and then create laws protecting innocent animals from being tortured.
