Pass the following guidelines into law.

The Issue

Most all veterinarians and emergency vet hospitals require payment up front or at the time of service before they will treat an animal that has fallen ill or that has been in an accident. In a case of a life and death situation, the inability to pay should NOT cost an animal its life. When a veterinarian or clinic refuses to treat an animal due to the inability to pay, it puts the animal at great risk for death, or irreparable harm. We are asking that a bill be passed into law with guidelines that any and all veterinarians MUST follow that states that in a life and death situation, a veterinarian MUST treat that animal, working hard to save its life, even though the owner can not pay the bill up front or at the time of service. Billing arrangements MUST be made.
