What the dog catchers are doing in Bosnia today is horrifying! They are killing the strays in masses and hide the dead dogs from the public. And even they do the shootings in early mornings, the shots can be heard and counted! When people come out of their homes, they will see blood stains on the pavements and streets, in the parks etc. Also guards in industrial sites have forbidden feeding strays there. A disgrace!

Bloodletting seems to have become the new "it" in Bosnia. It is not enough that the youth chase and kill strays with their cars, they also use their hands in more ways than one and make the strays suffer horribly. That should not be allowed. Then they post torture/kill photos and videos in YouTube and seem so proud of what they have done. Sickening! I cannot use the foul language I'd like, because many people will read this and some of them may not be adults.

We need an international intervention by maby USDP et alia in Bosnia to stop the dog mass killings, if the Government does not put an end to them. I have been working with East European rescuers for about two years now, and the situation of the strays is just becoming worse and worse. The strays need a strong spokesperson to convince the triggerhappy and murderous people who seem to thing strays are just a sort of a plague. The strays are living, breathing, sentient animals, and we have bread them to the point that they can hardly cope in the nature/wild without our help. But killing them is not the answer. Taking care of them in other methods - less hurting and lethal - is more productive to every person in  the long run and even the Government gains more support than it has now.
