In response to the Westboro Baptist Church's latest intended picketing of the Sandy Hook Elementary School victims, we the undersigned hereby press upon the Obama Administration to legally recognize this organization as a hate group.

The Westboro Baptist Church has been recognized as a hate group by organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, and has repeatedly acted in a fashion that is synonymous with the definition of hate groups. Their actions have been directed at many individuals and large groups, including homosexuals, military personnel, Jewish people, and even other Christians. They pose a threat to the welfare and rights of others, and they will not improve without some form of imposed regulation.

This petition is parallel to the one currently on WhiteHouse.gov, but this petition will allow non-US citizens to also have a voice.
