In order to maintain acequia culture in the Middle Rio Grande, we, the undersigned, request that collaboration between Local Acequias and the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District engage in a process of collaboration to ensure that acequias are protected and preserved to ensure that agriculture is preserved and encouraged to grow local food and that the water rights of pre-1907 Individual water right holders are protected.

Therefore, we appreciate your support SJM15 in the Senate Rules Committee. SJM 15 was also given a Do Pass on Tuesday, February 7th with a 5 to 0 vote in the Conservation Committee.

We respectfully request that you move the memorial to the Senate floor for final action.
