We have lost over 1,000 acres in the past year and the clear cutting continues. We need to protect what little is left not only for its beauty, but for it's benefits to our health in improving air quality and soil management as well as the benefits it has to the wildlife that calls it home. The proposed by law is currently in the consultation process and we call for responsible forest management which includes culling trees for firewood etc so that it isn't too stringent for purposes other than clear cutting. Save our beautiful landscape, keep those health statistics in the area from worsening and sign for our Municipality's future!
