I believe the tax revenue that can be provided by legalizing recreational  and medicinal usage of marijuana can and I believe would help our people. By legalizing this, it should open up more jobs and more money, considering our government is "TRILLIONS" of dollars in debt. Marijuana is also used in pharmaceuticals for treating patients w/ cancer, glaucoma, depression, and pain management in place of chemical pharmaceuticals w/ SERIOUS side-effects and dependancies. Our state, is in a MULTI-BILLION  dollar debt crisis causing cuts to, medicaid and our educational systems. There have been NO claims to any side-effects of usage of marijuana, no deaths, and no dependency. Our government has allowed the use of tobacco and alcohol, which has SERIOUS side-effects to generate tax revenue. I propose we as citizens in the state of Ohio, should act on our rights to petition the right to use marijuana for recreational and medical usage to help poverty in this time of crisis.
