Carol Channing is an American icon. Born in 1921, with a theatrical career that began in 1941, she created the Broadway roles of "Lorelei Lee" in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and "Dolly Levi" in "Hello, Dolly!" Miss Channing has received 3 Tony Awards, 1 Golden Globe and 1 Oscar nomination, countless additional nominations, and has been a beloved All-American entertainer for the past 71 years.
