PETITION TO THE House of Commons in Parliament assembled

 

 

 

We, the undersigned, Citizens of Canada and the First Nations Peoples, draw the attention of the House of Commons in Parliament assembled to the following:

 

 

THAT Bill C-45 will have significant implications to First Nations. This bill is a massive document and needs proper review and consultation with the people that it will directly affect. Therefore, First Nations and Canadians request that free, prior and informed consent are principles that the government of Canada operates from when dealing with issues that impact all people and must be given due consideration.

 

 

 

THEREFORE, your petitioners request the government of Canada to set aside Bill C-45 until due consultation and informed consent is given by those that are directly impacted by it.
