The horse has earned the title of our National Treasure!

The Issue

Horses symbolize everything that is great about our country. Why can't the people make their own decision and choose our beloved horse as the symbol of our "National Treasure?" The horse carried our soldiers in battle, pulled our plows, carried our mail, provided transport, helped us round up our cattle, provided us with entertainment, sport, therapy and a best friend. What animal has ever done more for man?

Before our country becomes too broken, and before we make changes that will hurt the people and the animals we care so much about, we have a chance to put the animal that has served us so loyally in it's proper place, with a title of respect and appreciation. We should never forget the horse helped us build this country, the horse is a survivor, and the horse continues to return to us our hope and morale as a country that can and will continue to grow stronger with each challenge.

Wild horses especially represent the freedom that the United States is so famously known for. Wild horses are hardy, strong, adaptable, survivors. They are their most beautiful and healthiest when they remain free.  Perhaps it's time that we make the animal that can still inspire, encourage, promise and deliver a symbol of our nation. If you agree, please sign this petition so our leaders will see how we feel about our own companion horses, the horses that built this nation, and the horses that continue to run wild and free.

Kelli NorcrossPetition StarterFighting for responsible action for animals that man takes for granted, exploits, abuses and neglects. We are keepers of the earth and must be accountable for the animals in our care. Man can nurture and care for the earth, or he can destroy it. We have only those two choices. Turning your cheek supports the destroyer. Our animals feel pain and loss. Our earth is delicate. Enough suffering and destruction already. Time to make healthy choices and change the way we live and care for the earth and its inhabitants. Please be strong and have a voice for the animals, the weak and the earth we call home.
