Remove North Carolina's proposed ban on same-sex marriage

The Issue

North Carolina has purposed a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. This action has gained approval through the North Carolina State Senate with a vote of 30-16, and is planned to show up on the general election ballot in May, 2012.

This proposed amendment is oppressing to anyone who is not of a hetero-sexual orientation. It denies same-sex couples the privileges of a hetero-sexual couple, which is not only morally wrong, but unconstitutional. Every human, regardless of gender, or sexual orientation, has the natural right to love who they love. Please sign this petition to show North Carolina what they are doing is wrong.
