In November 2008, Minnesotans passed the clean water, land, and legacy amendment to the Minnesota Constitution. The voters who approved the corresponding tax increase did so to specifically protect Minnesota's lakes, streams and rivers, as well as to promote and protect the state's strong arts and cultural heritage.
Using any of this money to help finance the proposed Vikings stadium would run against the intention of the Legacy Amendment and would be a violation of the state's constitution.
I urge you to say no to any proposed Vikings stadium bill that includes any financing from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
Say no to using Legacy Funds to finance a new Vikings stadium
Greetings,
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Governor Mark Dayton.
