Reba a rescue dog we adopted in Jan 2012 was shot 5/21/12 between 7:30-9:00am in my fenced yard in residential neighborhood. Detective says nothing can be done because no one has confessed but hasn't even met with me nor seen the pictures of her and the scene. My 14yr old found her-she still had a stick in her mouth she was playing with. One neighbor was outside weed eating but saw and heard nothing. Didn't even hear my son screaming when he found her body. She had marks on her legs consistant with a weedeater. Detective was to call me bk on 5/22 but never did. I called just a bit ago and he said he was busy working burglary cases and nothing more can be done. Mr. Miles had no idea about the marks on Reba's legs. The police officer Fabian Lamountain hadn't given him the crime scene photos! I emailed the photo's after we ended the call. I've never met Mr. Miles-he has no idea where Reba was found or any real details. I asked why he hadn't ask to meet to see where she was found and he said he knew from what I told him over the phone-which was I found her in the middle of the woods. Mr. Miles also let me know that he works 8-5 and he could meet me on his personal time. I told him I would meet him at anytime day or night regardless if I have to work so he wouldn't have to use his personal time. Mr. Miles replied to my email stating he would be at my house today 5pm May 25th to look around the yard. This was a Murder in my fenced yard in a residential neighborhood on a Monday morning. This was malicious and a felony. Stolen objects should not be more important than a living thing being shot to death for no reason. My kids and I adored Reba-everyone who met her loved her...Reba was a people person kind of dog and loved kids, going the park, hanging out in the creek, car rides and playing soccer!  Investigate Reba's murder as if it was your best friend.
