Food Integrity Group - FIG, is partnering with other local Central Coast organisations in the hope of creating a healthy lifestyle revolution in our region. To support this, we are entering the national competition to bring Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food to our community.

Partnering with Jamie Oliver on the Central Coast will show that the health and wellbeing of those in our community is worth investing in and will help us grow this revolution!

The plan is to establish the Wyong Grove Public School site as a regional hub, with the Ministry of Food Pop-Up-Kitchen taking centre stage.The surrounding space and infrastructure will support the Pop-Up-Kitchen by housing; the local organic food co-op - FIG, community gardens and food forests, a training cafe, outdoor covered areas and hall for community events, additional rooms for supportive community services and local wellbeing businesses, ample parking and easy access to public transport.

This regional hub will be a broad community asset that can also be used by schools, community groups, community services and local businesses alike.

With high levels of obesity and hospital admissions for diet related illnesses, health and wellbeing statistics for our region clearly illustrate that many people will benefit from this initiative.
