Why This Is Important

Clean energy that empowers citizens with the freedom of choice. Physically; I am a big guy. I don't want to be stuck with the choice of a Prius or half of a Prius. I'll keep my clunker thank you very much. The point being, that all citizens should have freedom of choice with regard to what they drive, or which light bulbs they use in their homes. It is a slap in the face of personal liberty to do otherwise. Won't you support a more responsible form of energy reform today?

Support Free Choice Energy

Dear Representative

Dear Sir,

When tackling clean energy, please take into consideration there are many people out here who would, for one reason or another, keep their older, larger, vehicles. For many Americans, the personal preference is large, roomy, vehicles because, although these usually get poor gas mileage, they offer adequate space and better protection in the event of a crash. We recognize the need to move towards energy independence and clean energy however; we believe that automakers need to find a way to compromise the two. General Motors has led the way with their Flex-Fuel vehicles unfortunately, these do not get much better mileage than an ordinary gasoline engine. There are many citizens who own old, classic, vehicles and they do not wish to give them up. I urge you to work with automakers to find a way to produce automobiles that are large enough to both accommodate bigger people and provide adequate protection in an accident, but also get the kind of gas mileage we need to move towards being an energy independent nation. I know we can do this if we set our minds to it. We must never lose sight of the fact that one of the premises our nation was built on is Individual Liberty. The freedom to choose what kind of car to drive, what type of light bulbs to purchase and use, the freedom to choose at what temperature to set your thermostat. It is a matter of personal preference and here in the United States of America, it is the liberty we have all grown accustomed to and learned to cherish. Please respect that in all of your decisions. Thank You.
