In light of the recent study led by Gilles-Eric Seralini of the University of Caen that proves gmo corn, soybean, and Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide causes tumors and liver and kidney damage, I am petitioning that the FDA require all food products to be clearly labeled if they contain genetically modified organisms. The FDA has too long let Monsanto corrupt our food supply, and consumers deserve the right to make informed choices about their health and food. When 85% of the US corn supply is gmo, we can no longer ignore that there may be some correlation between the rise in cancer rates and the rise of gmo crops in recent decades.

Furthermore, I am petitioning that the FDA require all schools that serve gmo products for consumption in lunch rooms send written notification to parents on an annual basis.

How can the FDA regulate the small farmers into near extinction while they let the monster corporations like Monsanto run monopolies and poison our food supply? How can we say we live in a free country when we don't have the liberty to make informed choices about the food we eat?

Once again, this petition is to have the FDA require all gmo products to be clearly labeled as such and to require all schools serving gmo food send annual notification to inform parents of what their children are being served.
