Clare Byam-Cook is a self profesed breastfeeding expert. Her ideas are outdated, often arguing against breastfeeing councellors, health visitors and others in the breastfeeding world, and activly supports the use of artificial milks. 
She suggests that if a baby is struggling to breastfeed, to try a bottle. If they settle by bottle then bottle feeding is best for them. This is NOT supporting women to breastfeed. It is avoiding getting to the root of the problem.

Her book is called 'what to expect when you are breastfeeding - and what if you cant?' ..... This gives the impression to parents that not being able to breastfeed is normal. IT ISNT.

Breastfeeding is normal, and people facing breastfeeding issues can almost always overcome them with the correct support. Unfortunatly Clare Byam Cook is NOT an authority, or a true supporter of breastfeeding. The amount of distrust out there is available for all to read online. Please do so and sign this petition to draw attention to the media that this person is offering terrible, discredited advice time after time through various media and they should use an up to date breastfeeding councellor from one of the major breastfeeding groups for media interviews.
