Colorado families can’t stand by and allow our senior relatives become the next pawns in the debt ceiling "game" that threatens our country's economy. None of us, but definitely not the 20% of us living below economic self-sufficiency, on fixed incomes, can support holding the economy hostage over political posturing and irrational demands. We ask you to consider living on $11,000 a year (average Social Security benefit for a Colorado senior woman) before making any more sacrifices.
