Emma's death was shocking; it was gruesome. Emma's mom, Abigail Young, allowed her boyfriend to repeatedly rape and ultimately murder her. Emma was only 4 years old.

Rather than protect her daughter, Abigail Young allowed the torture to continue by continually lying to doctors and authorities. Her actions led to her daughter suffering an incredibly cruel and painful death.

In the days leading to her death, Emma suffered 80 contusions, a fractured skull, a brain hemorrhage and a vaginal tear. About 12 to 24 hours before she died, she was hit in the abdomen by an “unknown object,” causing blunt force trauma that killed her.

Abigail Young, and her boyfriend, Lucas Coe, were convicted for their heinous crime. Coe was sentenced to life in prison. Young was found guilty of reckless injury to a child, a third-degree felony.

I stand for little Emma and request that you deny Abigail Young parole. Young has only served 3 of her 20 year sentence. She came up for parole only 18 months after her sentencing and she's up for parole again. Abigail has been considered twice and she’s only been in prison for three years. This case led to the recent passage of Emma's Law.
