Our children, nieces and nephews, and future generations are no longer being taught an accurate depiction of history (nor have they been for years). Instead, they're being taught a combination of white-wash and lies. To evolve as a country, we must base our direction on the mistakes of our fore fathers, events of past, social revolutions, our advances and failures, not just in the United States of America, but throughout the world. If we are taught only lies to hide an embarrassing past, our country will never learn or move forward. The United States of America is no longer the smartest or the richest or the healthiest or the freest and it is partially due to the fact that our decisions and views are based on events altered to make America seem innocent and benevolent in every way. Please help us change at least one mistake: changing the description of slavery from 'unpaid interns' to what it really was: a deplorable and unforgivable act of kidnapping, torture, murder, A.K.A SLAVERY!
