Tell the Labour Party to Commit to a Timeline for 0.7
The Issue
Since 1970, New Zealand governments have been promising to get our international aid and development budget to 0.7% of our Gross National Income. It currently sits around 0.3% with no official timeline set to reach the 0.7 target. It is time that changed.
This weekend (October 16-17) the New Zealand Labour Party will hold its annual conference where they will discuss and vote on policy which will then inform the way forward for the party. Lets send a message to Labour, one of New Zealand's major parties, that we would like them to set a timeline to reaching 0.7 and we would like them to commit to it at their annual conference.
