With the likelihood the new 112th Congress may be more broken and divisive than the last the lame duck session of the 111th Congress may be the only opportunity for the Senate to ratify President Obama's New START Treaty with Russia. Unfortunately, some Republican politicians may be politicizing the issue and try suggesting President Obama because of his stance in favor of nuclear arms reduction may be soft when it comes to national security issues and defense. However, that's simply not true and by the way Ronald Reagan a Republican U.S. President also signed a nuclear arms treaty when he was in office. Let's urge the U.S. Senate to ratify this New START Treaty asap.
