Last night Rep. Joe Wilson from South Carolina shouted, "YOU LIE" at President Barack Obama, during his Congressional health care address. Why was he so riled up?

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, of course.

President Obama was denouncing myths -- spread by cable news, talk radio, anti-immigration extremist groups and anti-immigrant politicians like Joe Wilson -- that immigrants living in the U.S. illegally would receive free coverage under his health care plan.

In fact, illegal immigrants are barred from doing so, as CNN, the Associated Press, FactCheck.org, and others have highlighted repeatedly throughout this debate.

Who is behind these lies? Groups like the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). They pose as mainstream lobbyists to spread bigotry, lies and hate -- and they are trying to meet with your Representatives this week.

Fight back: Tell your Representatives in Washington not to meet with FAIR - or any other hate groups! Click here to raise your voice.

Wilson is just the latest mouthpiece for groups like FAIR, whose main agenda is rooted in white nationalism, fear, and xenophobia.

FAIR is classified as a "hate group" by the Southern Poverty Law Center, but its members have been lobbying Congress for years now. They are storming DC this week for an annual lobby day called "Hold Their Feet To The Fire."

We need your voice NOW to counter the hate:

Click here to tell your leaders in Washington: "Don't meet with FAIR!" Demand real reform, not angry rhetoric.

Together we can keep FAIR from bullying Congress -- from blocking urgently needed reforms to the immigration and health care systems. Please forward this email widely, and help make sure the extremists don't get a free pass.

Thank you,
