Western Union has aided and abetted the State of Arizona in unconstitutionally seizing more than $17 million of its customer’s funds, using a dragnet that confiscated all wire transfers into the state of Arizona in amounts more than $500 on the presumption that each and every one of them was a payment for drugs or human smuggling. In fact, the majority of the wire transfers were for legitimate purposes such as purchase of medicine, car payments, and to help relatives.  Western Union encouraged immigrant customers to make Western Union wire transfers knowing that Arizona would seize them.  Western Union entrapped its customers. 

To add insult to injury, Western Union thinks nothing of paying $94 million to the State of Arizona, to fund an unconstitutional program of seizures, while leaving out its customers whose funds were unconstitutionally seized and, now, may well be unconstitutionally seized again.

We need your help to  tell Western Union to return the $17 million in funds illegally taken from its customers before the "March for America" in Washington, D.C. on March 21st, 2010. We are also demanding that Western Union refuse to cooperate in further illegal seizures of its customer's money without probable cause.
