Tell Toy Companies: Our Girls Deserve Better Choices than "Princess"

The Issue

Disney Princesses. Barbie. "Princess" and "Ballerina" Dora. Girlie-girl culture is everywhere and the "choices" for products for young girls are inordinately focused on the superficial "qualities" of beauty, fantasy and magic compared to toys marketed to boys of the same age group. Tell toy manufacturers enough is enough: "I'm not buying princess culture!"   Parents want toys that are appealing across genders, challenging and intellectually stimulating, and that do not reinforce superficial or subservient stereotypes.
