CherokeeGirl for ChangePetition StarterI didn't pay attention to politics except from a dissenting viewpoint during the Reagan / Bush 41 years. I prospered during the Clinton era, so I knew he must have been doing something right. I've always been a registered democrat, but just not engaged or empowered to affect any real change.
January of 2008 when I first saw Barack Obama speak he awoke my inner activist. I'm very excited about this new era we are living. We have a lot of work ahead, but it's a relief to know we are heading in the right (left) direction. I now live and breathe politics and world affairs, and feel like I can make a difference in the world. I realize now that citizens must be active in their government. :)
