Tell the Cleveland Indians to Abandon their Offensive Logo

The Issue

The Cleveland Indians are still using racist imagery to promote their team.

Fans of the team don't see anything wrong with the mascot, but "Chief Wahoo" does not belong in modern America. There are stereotypes upon stereotypes in the image: there is a bright red face, big nose, goofy grin, and even the name is offensive. This type of imagery being used as the main logo of a major league baseball team does nothing but breed insensitivity and misunderstanding about real American Indians.

This type of racism doesn't belong in baseball. Tell the Cleveland Indians to get rid of Chief Wahoo.
