Why This Is Important

Update:

Today, February 12, 2010. We have yet, to get a response of yes/no referencing using the room for another computer class session.

 Update:

January 27, 2010:

St Andrews Towers, Panama City, Florida

Yesterday evening, Tuesday, January 26, 2010, Action Speaks DREAM CLCSDA held our Introductory Screening for DREAM Computer Literacy Session II classes for elderly/disabled America in Gloria Keith's apartment, 2nd floor of St. Andrews Towers Residential Building, Independent Living, between 5-7 P. M. Participation/Involvement was great.

Several of our potential students waited downstairs in the lobby, expecting the screening to be held in the "Computer Lab", while watching Donna, St. Andrews Towers office manager scerm expecting some irrational outburst about her just say "No to Computer Literacy Classes for elderly/disabled America".

One of the continuing CLC students phoned me from downstairs, St. Andrews Towers lobby asking about the place to hold screening. I invited her and the others to my apartment.

Donna has yet to put her comments about why she denied tenants rights to post our screening flyer on Monday, January 25, 2010, in a local area so interested tenants would know about Computer Literacy Classes for elderly/disabled America.

One interested tenant said Donna told her, "I was not asked or informed..." Another tenant said Donna informed her of the 216 families wanting and needing the use of that room. And, she (Donna) has to accommodate all of them.

Our Computer Literacy Classes for elderly/disabled America are free. The computers, equipment, supplies are either bought and paid for by the instructor or donated by group/individual or minimum donations given by students to help defray paper/ink /disk costs.

"Time is money. Money is time", wrote James Meredith, Miss. U. "These computer literacy classes for elderly/disabled America are a part of my healing/vision for humanitarian servicing my children, grandchildren, family, community, environment, city, and state. America and wide world. God has given me intelligence, gifts of knowledge, wisdom, understanding humanity. The more God gives to me, the more I share with others who need and appreciate what I have to give."

Perhaps, the answer will be found in this struggle, "Why St. Andrews Towers said "No to  these successful and most necessary computer literacy classes for elderly/disabled America when St. Andrews Towers have advertised Computer Literacy classes and/or use since 2004 on websites and other ad pages for St. Andrews Towers Apartments in Panama City, Florida?

Yet, DREAM Computer Literacy Classes for elderly/disabled America 2009 is the only organization who has given a computer literacy course at St. Andrews Towers Panama City, Florida.

DREAM CLC SDA students will meet for class on Monday evening, Thursday morning/evening of next week. For excerpts of the DREAM CLCSDA Screening/Introductory session on Tuesday, January 26, 2010,etc., go to: www.knology.net/actionspeaks0912; http://actiog.ning.com; www.newsvine.com/gloriahnt (royalties from Gloria's writings @ newsvine.com is donated to Haiti.

January 26, 2010  St. Andrews Towers Manager, Donna Golema, Panama City, Florida, is telling our elderly/disabled America supporters, calling in to her about her refusal to post the flyer, DREAMCLCSDA committee requested of her, St. Andrews Towers Management to post on yesterday, January 25, 2010, that she had no prior notice of resuming the Computer Literacy Classes for elderly/disabled America in St. Andrews Towers.

Our Rebuttal:  Donna/St. Andrews Towers Management Panama City, Florida is not telling the truth.

1. In November, 2009, before, graduation of the 16 week CLC course 2009, our instructor phoned Donna Golema, from one of the class activities. Donna said she may have other use for the room and would let us know.  No activities have been held or prepared for anything else. Our computers are still in the room. Our Administrative committee for DREAM CLCSDA still have all keys, accept for management of St. Andrews Towers.

2. Recently, a DREAM CLCSDA student/committee member asked St Andrews Towers Management about allowing us to hold continuing computer classes, "I don't see, why not..."

3. So we followed through to plan a session II screening night as we had done, before 2009 CLCSDA course to see how much interest we have, this year, at this time.

4. The only flyer presented to St. Andrews Towers Management(Donna G. and Patricia M.) was the Session II Screening flyer asking old and potentially, new computer literacy students to meet, greet, etc.

 Update: January 25, 2010

We Need You, More, America!!!

3 continuing elderly/disabled computer literacy students went to get approval to take a flyer to announce a screening to find out if elderly and disabled americans in our 216 family residential building wanted another computer literacy course in St. Andrews Towers. Before, putting up the flyer, the 3 CLC students went to share information with local management for our Session II Screening for 2010 Computer Literacy Classes at the St. Andrews Towers to  be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, 5-7 p. m.

Donna, St. Andrews Towers Manager refused to let the CLC students post the flyer announcing Session II Screening for DREAM Computer Literacy Classes for Elderly/Disabled America to be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in the "Computer Lab" in the St. Andrews Towers, where we live.

Many of the 216 elderly/disabled families in St. Andrews Towers have been asking if we would be holding another computer course in the St. Andrews Towers. So, our DREAM CLCSDA News-Media Team met on holding another computer literacy course as well as how to deal with other issues of our lives as elderly and disabled America. We concluded to hold a screening to see how many tenants, etc wanted a 2010 Computer Literacy Course.

We acknowledged our housing management. Now, we, elderly and disabled Americans living in the St. Andrews Towers believe that confirmation of our rights infringement by St. Andrews Towers Management is, once again taking place and we, elderly and disabled American families have little or no support/nor advocacy from our families,  nor from the politicians, nor the businesses we keep active, from wheel chairs being sold to us by Palmer Medical Supplies, Inc. to Knology, Inc who gives St. Andrews Towers a commission on all the elderly and disabled American families who buy their products...Major News-Media Companies play games with our minds and show management in good light when they are deceiving us and our families and friends, outside of the St. Andrews Towers.

We need you, America. Elderly/Disabled America want to support ourselves as long as we can. Computer Literacy classes help us, and we help others continue to live in a free, rational humanitarian society.  Things we could not do for ourselves, our grandchildren because of a digital divide, we are learning to do and "we love it"(new technology), because we understand it better, now.

March 2009, a small group of St. Andrews Towers Tenants united to have a Computer Literacy Class in the St. Andrews Towers Residential building where lives approximately, 216 families of seniors/disabled Americans. The same potential computer literacy class instructor had approached local management of St. Andrews Towers, in 2006. But, because she was not who the local management had in mind, the Computer Literacy Class Instructor was turned down. So, March 2009, or later, 2 white female tenants decided to take the unwanted computer literacy instructor's same proposal for a computer literacy class for seniors/disabled America to the regional management leadership of St. Andrews Towers. The "unwanted" Computer Literacy Classes for Seniors/disabled America' instructor  was in. Thanks to the 2 white female tenants who followed their hearts, minds, souls to make the request.

About September 2009, Gloria Keith  was solicited as computer literacy instructor. She began the DREAM Computer Literacy Classes for seniors/disabled, targeted at the St. Andrews Towers, their families/friends.

November 14, 2009, about 30 computer literacy seniors/disabled American students graduated and on, November 18, 2009, as promised, several of the graduated seniors/disabled traveled to Tallahassee to pick up the first load of free computer systems/accessories to distribute to each graduated student...

St Andrews Towers has already made plans to take back the room that corporate office agreed to allow the most competent tenant to use for computer Literacy classes for seniors/disabled America...The management said the room would be used by another oppositional group of the "unwanted" computer Literacy classes for seniors/disabled instructor, by turning the successful computer classroom into a storage room for 2nd hand clothes...Please sign and join our petition to keep the successful computer literacy classes for seniors/disabled America, Panama City, Florida at St. Andrews Towers---"Bridging the Digital Divide" for seniors/disabled and the mainstream is working, positively, for humanitarian progress in America. It bridges men/women boys/girls/people of color/whites.

"I am surprised they are continuing the class(about DREAM CLCSDA)," spoke Local manager to Regional manager of St. Andrews Towers. "Usually, they(tenants), don't finish. anything.

Fight with us. Tell owners/managers of St. Andrews Towers to keep the DREAM CLCSDA with the same visionary/instructor.

Keep DREAM Computer Literacy Classes for Seniors/Disabled America Panama City Florida

Dear Decision Maker,

Update:
Letter from SAT Mgment "Measure of Demands" for Computer Literacy Classes for the elderly/disabled America. 1. No classes at night. 2. "The staff will keep keys." Will these demand take away the freedom of the tenants to unite for greater and positive contributions to America? We will find out. 20 potential student will unite for the first 2nd session of classes, Tuesday morning May 4, 2010. 10-12 noon.

Where is the Humanity?

Today, major elevator still down. Small one in use.
Human Situation: 2 Black disabled tenants, both with limited mobility. Both were Black American tenants. Also waiting was Frances, white female tenant/employee with her dog. Elevator finally arrives. Frances and her dog got on the elevator to hold the open button for the 2 Black/Disabled tenants. Rushing from the laundry room, around the corner was a care taker with a bottle of clorox. She rushed right in front of the 2 black tenants without any requet nor apology. The Black woman tenant asked the white female care taker to get off untill the 2 black disabled tenants, at the elevator, prior to the white female caretake rushed into the elevator.
The white female caretaker, who rushed , disrespectfully, in front of the 2 black disabled tenants threw her head up as though the 2 black tenants were invisible, totally, ignored what the black disabled tenant requested. The employee/tenant(also white) said nothing to the intruder-disrespectful female. The 2 black disabled tenants squezzed into the elevator. The black woman said to the caretaker, in a firm, but calmly voice, "Please don't ever do that again. I will report you. ". The white female caretaker said nothing. Nor did the employee/tenant. The Black disabled tenant rode and got off at the first stop. While the black male disabled AMerican rode further with the 2 white females, he heard the employee say to the white female caretaker, "Are you shaking in your boots?" The 2 white females chuckled, aloud, without any humanity.

Crime fighting policemen were carrying rifles, shotguns, pistols on their waist, their legs, running up and down the stairs just to find one very small-framed “blow-over” old man with a small registered gun in his apartment. No arrest was made. No lives were in danger. But, were tenants warned by SAT Management before and after?
No. No announcement on the PA system that broadcasts politicians and for-profit-businesses when they come to make a sale to us by exploitation.

About September 2009, the most advanced computer literacy instructor, as proven, now, began the DREAM Computer Literacy Classes for seniors/disabled, targeted at the St. Andrews Towers, their families/friends.

November 13, 2009, Ms. Linda Miklowitz, Atty @ Law, Tallahassee, Florida, left her business and home in Tallassee to come down to Panama City, Florida , after consenting to be Special Graduation Speaker for DREAMCLCSDA 2009. November 14, 2009, about 30 computer literacy seniors/disabled American students graduated and on, November 18, 2009, as promised, several of the gratuated seniors/disabled traveled to Tallahassee to pick up the first load of free computer systems/accessories to distribute to each graduated student...

St Andrews Towers has already made plans to take back the room that corporate office agreed to allow the most competent tenant to use for computer Literacy classes for seniors/disabled America...The management said the room would be used by another oppositional group of the "unwanted" computer Literacy classes for seniors/disabled instructor, by turning the successful computer classroom into a storage room for 2nd hand clothes...
