Tell Speaker of the House Dean Cannon "Uterus"

The Issue

The word “uterus” has been banned from the Florida State House of Representatives because Speaker Dean Cannon stated that it is inappropriate language for visitors and guests in the gallery.

During a debate last week on regulations, Democratic State Rep. Scott Randolph noted that Republicans generally oppose imposing new laws on businesses. He said that his wife should “incorporate her uterus” because that would halt attempts by Republicans to regulate her body.

Cannon passed the word onto Randolph – no more dirty words.

A surprised Randolph noted that he did not use slang, but a rather benign term as the language goes.

That was to no avail. Apparently, Speaker Cannon does not want anyone to learn that humans reproduce.
