Before a debate between Kentucky Senate candidates Rand Paul (R) and John Conway (D), Paul's Bourbon County campaign coordinator, Tim Profitt, was caught on video stomping on a woman's head.

The 23-year-old woman, Lauren Valle, is attacked by Paul supporters, who yank her to the ground. While she is lying still in the fetal position, held down by multiple large men, Profitt picks up his foot and stomps on her head. Valle, who was representing a MoveOn.org campaign, was admitted to the hospital after the attack and is recovering from a concussion.

Both MoveOn.org and the Conway campaign have called for Rand Paul to apologize to the assault victim, but all his campaign has offered is platitudes about how violence "on all sides" should be avoided.

Violence against women is never acceptable. Tell Rand Paul that the least he can do is apologize to Lauren Valle for the attack by a leader in his campaign.
