I am dismayed to have learned that workers at Del Posto restaurant are having to protest unfair working conditions.
Del Posto is a four-star restaurant that should be setting standards for the whole industry. There is no place for wage theft, discrimination, or abuse at any restaurant, let alone one of the caliber of Del Posto.
Del Posto is proud to be a part of the green, sustainable food movement. However, food cannot be just or sustainable unless it is produced, cooked, and served by workers who are being compensated fairly and legally and treated with dignity and respect on the job.
I urge you to do the right thing, to settle this dispute as quickly as possible, and to hear out in good faith the demands for a better workplace that are coming from the Del Posto workers.
