Franklin County, Alabama - Many animals are being killed in an old, unregulated, likely homemade gas chamber at the Franklin County gassing pound. The animals are supposedly kept for 7 days before they are painfully and inhumanely killed without any chance for rescue or adoptions. In fact, they have allegedly SHUT DOWN ALL rescuing and adopting so these animals have no chance for being saved from a barbaric and inhumane death. It is cruel and unethical and needs to STOP NOW - BEFORE THE DEC.  31, 2011 DEADLINE!

Stop Killing Dogs & Cats in an Old, Likely Homemade Gas Chamber!

Franklin County, Alabama - Many animals are being killed in an old, unregulated, likely homemade gas chamber at the Franklin County gassing pound. The animals are supposedly kept for 7 days before they are painfully and inhumanely killed without any chance for rescue or adoptions. In fact, they have allegedly SHUT DOWN ALL rescuing and adopting so these animals have no chance for being saved from a barbaric and inhumane death. It is cruel and unethical and needs to STOP NOW - BEFORE THE DEC. 31, 2011 DEADLINE!

Please let us know what you plan to do about this horrific situation. First of all, possibly contract out the shelter to a group who will help get them adopted and rescued, so the animals don't have to endure this painful, likely illegal gas chamber. No other shelter in the area has banned rescues and adopters like Franklin gassing pound has. It's just a death camp.

This situation will NOT pass quietly. In fact, it's getting more and more attention and press and the animal loving community will not stop until shelter reform takes place.

Ensure this shelter becomes a humane place for the innocent homeless pets. They only have us humans to rely on to do the right thing. We expect YOU to do the right thing.
