Recently, the Heartland Institute launched a billboard campaign comparing people who acknowledge climate change to terrorists like Osama bin Laden and Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber. Heartland was forced to take down the billboard in less than 24 hours due to public outrage, and many of Heartland's corporate funders like State Farm and the USAA have dropped their support in response.
