URGE CONSOLIDATED EDSION ELECTRIC OF NY to stop financially harming disabled customers

URGE CONSOLIDATED EDSION ELECTRIC OF NY to stop financially harming disabled customers
The Issue
Consolidated Edsion of New York a publicly traded and NYS regulated utility company consistantly treats its disabled customers as if they were vermin trying to steal electricity, Con Ed's electronic accounting system targets the disabled and poor who pay 1 or two days late, imposes financially harmful utility deposit requests of $205.00 or more on the poorest of New Yorkers, then threatens to disconnect service if the Customer cannot pay a security deposit request, this happens monthly to disabled and poor Con Ed Customers who may have had 1 late payment and are at the mercy of a regulated utility. Please let Con Ed know that you want them to treat their poor and disabled Customers with compassion, dignity and respect rather than impose financial hardships. Let us all tell Con Ed to stop imposing security deposits on the poor and disabled of NY. If You can, please call Con Ed in NY @ 212-460-4600 and tell them to stop the security deposit requirement for poor and disabled people.
