Some companies like Nestle, H.J. Heinz, and General Mills have started eliminating bisphenol-A (BPA), a hormone-disrupting chemical, from their food packaging. Coca-Cola, however, maintains that BPA is safe and continues to use the chemical in its aluminum cans.

While the government fails to regulate BPA's use, studies continue to point out the chemical's potential health impacts. BPA has been linked to cardiovascular disease, poor sperm quality, diabetes, and early-onset puberty in people. In lab animals, scientists found that the hormone-disrupting chemical triggered breast and prostate cancer.

Coca-Cola should start caring about consumers' health. Ask the company to eliminate BPA from its beverage containers.

Eliminate BPA from Beverage Cans

Greetings,

Bisphenol-A (BPA), a hormone-disrupting chemical, has been linked to cardiovascular disease, poor sperm quality, diabetes, and early-onset puberty in people. In lab animals, scientists found that the hormone-disrupting chemical triggered breast and prostate cancer.

Despite these potential health risks and consumer demand, Coca-Cola continues to sell beverages in cans containing BPA. The company also hasn't made any plans to eventually eliminate the substance from its containers.

While the federal government fails to regulate BPA, companies should take matters into their own hands. Consumers' safety depends on corporations eliminating BPA from their food packaging. Please take steps to switch your beverages over to BPA-free cans.
