The Arizona state legislature is about to pass a bill that will prohibit Medical schools in the state from teaching doctors how to perform SAFE termination. It is very possible that this legislation would compromises the accreditation of all Arizona State residency programs.

Current medical residents will actually have to leave their training. Abortions have been prohibited by law since 1974 at Arizona teaching hospital, University Medical Center, medical students and residents have to attend other facilities to acquire the relevant experience.

When a family is faced with a horrific choice in the midst of life threatening situations, the state should not be in the position to dictate if a woman or the child is more important. By passing this legislation an untrained doctor will put both lives at greater risk. Educating young physicians to save a mothers life, by performing a safe termination, is an important part of their basic medical training.

PLEASE TELL GOVERNOR JAN BREWER TO VETO THIS LEGISLATION AND PROTECT OUR MOTHERS.
