Tell Apple: Bring Back Final Cut Pro's Interface and Features!

The Issue

Hundreds of thousands of video editors have built their livelihoods on Apple's Final Cut Pro software. But Apple is throwing them under the bus, discontinuing the software and selling an inferior replacement called Final Cut Pro X for $300 that can't do most of what the previous one could do, and loses almost all the distinctive features that made Final Cut, well, Final Cut.

But with some focus Apple can do the right thing: rewrite Final Cut Pro 7 so that it's 64-bit native, compatible with existing projects, and features the distinctive and powerful track-based interface its users love. Then Apple can slowly add *options* for many of the cool new things Final Cut Pro X can do over time.

Let Apple know that creative professionals matter, even if they are a small segment of its user base. Otherwise stand together and pledge: WE WILL BUY NO MORE APPLE PRODUCTS UNTIL APPLE BRINGS BACK WHAT WE LOVED ABOUT FINAL CUT PRO.
